The Christening

Thursday, February 11th, 2010, marked a new chapter in the life of Anto Pteryhawk. The young pterosaur recently became the proud owner of a new CAPiTA Space Metal Fantasy. While Anto already has the ability to fly and packs an ear-shattering screech, the addition of the SMF combines all of that together with the Unicorn of Death's evil voodoo magic and head-mounted spear of doom. What this all amounts to is one of the most fearsome one-two punches the world has ever seen.

Please watch the video below to witness her savage destruction of Buck Hill in Burnsville, MN. Who knows where she'll strike next. Just hope it's not at your local hill. I can only guess the majority of the snow will be melted courtesy of her flames and laser beams. Whatever snow is left unscathed will probably be stained with blood. Best wishes!

We're going to Hollywood!

Czech this out!

Toni and I just made our amateur acting debuts the other day at her school. Watch the video and let me know what you think.

In the words of Sir Roger Williams, "This guy's got charisma!" Haha. Whatever.

Uhhh, what do we do now?

So I'm sitting at home on the computer and I hear this constant whining noise outside. Having witnessed almost the same exact thing last night, courtesy of another retarded neighbor, I was guessing that it was somebody stuck in the snow and flooring their car to get out. Well, I was right. Only this time it was light outside, and I remembered to grab the camera.
Armed with only a window brush and a car, this tool shed manages to spin his tires at 100 mph, not move more than 6 feet, and appears to have blown his engine. Of course I don't know for sure but the cloud of steam and smoke would lead me to believe so. All of this in maybe 4" of snow. And notice how everybody else made it out of the parking lot just fine? Some people were just born to struggle.

Feb. 6th Inversion

^^^^ A little pre-Method Action^^^^

Nice day. 7 inches of about 9% during the night. Got to the hill late and still pretty good all over. There's a weird inversion taking place here. In such a big valley it doesn't happen all that often. Warm spring-like temps mid mountain and up and snow and cold in the valleys. Overall a great day out with Big Chuck Slash.

Just sharing another picture from our boarding adventure yesterday. Figured a good "Spaceballs" quote would be fitting here.

POW DAY! (by MN standards, at least)

Fresh, fluffy pow. That's what we saw coming down lastnight, and that's what we woke up to this morning. The quantity wasn't all that and a bag of chips, but the quality was some of the best I've seen in MN, from what I can remember at least. It wasn't until the last few years that I actually paid attention to the snow. However, thanks to it and a little modern technology I've developed a hobby, or habit for that matter, that I'll be addicted to for the rest of my life. At least I can't get cancer or liver disease from this one.
Back to the white stuff. The total accumulation was probably only a few inches, but it was some of the lightest, dryest snow I've ever seen. Conveniently the woman was off for the day so we made the most of our 3-hour "Early Bird" session at Buck Hill this morning. Despite our runs lasting all of a minute (if we were going slow), the riding was incredible. Piles of white fluffy goodness all over the place. A good time was had by all.
Well, that is unless you were a two-planker attending what appeared to be some lame ass high school gate bashing event. It's pretty sad when you've got 3" of fresh snow, yet there's people raking off the top layer to get the course down to the ice underneath. I will never understand it. Nonetheless, it made for a perfect time for me to be wearing my "skiing sucks" hat.
Effin' 2-plankers...

Welcome To The Family

Here at Gnarpow! we place great value in the spirit of the companies that make the gear we use. As a knuckle draggin' board dweeb who rides CAPiTA exclusively, I'm proud to announce a new addition to those devoured. Fellow GP! crew member, Anto Pteryhawk, just performed the sacred ritual and will receive her very own Space Metal Fantasy in due time. Also, another oath will be taken between blood brothers which will boost the total of these gnarly shred sleds amongst the Gnarpow! team to 8.
